The YMCA Tayside was formed in 1995, a registered Scottish charity based in and around the Perthshire area. They work with young people aged 8-25, providing them with a multitude of opportunities that unlock their hidden potential, inspiring their growth while nurturing their development and harnessing their interests, within a flexible and non-pressured setting.
1st Step Development Ventures was established in 2018 as a registered charity operating across multiple sites in Linlithgow and Falkirk. Their main focus is on helping and supporting people impacted by addiction, mental health challenges and social isolation.
The biggest development the Govan community have ever seen has been completed, adding 92 mid-market rented properties for the benefit of Govan residents. The landmark project worth £23 million has been delivered by CCG for Govan Housing Association.
Development of 31 new affordable homes in Airdrie as part of North Lanarkshire Council’s re-provisioning programme. The site was previously occupied with 28 flats that were no longer meeting the needs of the community, these were demolished to make way for this development.
Replacement of 11 existing composite main entrance doors as part of a planned maintenance programme for Molendinar Housing Association. Sidey was appointed through direct award via the Scottish Procurement Alliance PVC-U & Timber Windows & Doors WD2 framework.
Logan Day Centre is a community facility owned by East Ayrshire Council and operated by a group of dedicated local volunteers under the community asset transfer programme. The volunteers are actively involved and passionate about the growth and development of the centre, ensuring that it supports all residents within the community.
Berwickshire Housing Association (BHA) recognised some of its tenants were experiencing mental health and wellbeing challenges that might otherwise impact their ability to manage and retain their tenancy. But it needed funding to put in place specialised mental health support to improve their situation.
Sidey Solutions were appointed to this projects through SPA’s U9 PVC-U Windows and Doors Products Framework for Clackmannanshire Council. The project aim was to provide energy efficient products that would improve quality of life for the Council’s tenants in over 500 properties throughout Clackmannanshire. This project was very successful and achieved over 98% tenant satisfaction and won an award for excellent quality at the LHC Group 50 Awards.
The Moray Schools project was a £20M primary school improvement and phased refurbishment package involving four existing primary schools within Moray, which was funded through the Scottish Future’s Trust and Moray Council.
In 2015, West Dunbartonshire Council confirmed over £15M of investment in a new purpose-built education campus in Balloch. The campus would incorporate two primary schools, an early learning and childcare centre, an additional support needs education centre, and shared all-weather sports facilities. Morgan Sindall, an Appointed Company on the SCB1 Framework, was selected for this major undertaking to create a modern learning environment with a capacity for nearly 750 pupils.
