Annual General Meeting 2024
For this year’s AGM we've invited a handful of funded projects to share insight on the challenges and opportunities that they faced on the road to success.
The AGM will offer a variety of perspectives shared by a mix of diverse funded projects and also the views of a leading organisation that is involved in educating Scottish organisations on the principles of community development.
The projects that have been supported are wide-ranging but demonstrate the very best of community understanding and development ranging from mental health support groups, employability schemes, accessible playparks, community festivals, food hubs, and community gardens alongside other vital community initiatives. They each share one collective goal which is to accelerate the regeneration of places and help people reconnect.
Attendees will also hear from the leading body for community development in Scotland who actively inform Scottish Government policy, collaborate with public sector organisations and community groups to work effectively with communities and widen participation in local democracy.
This invitation is open to our public sector partners. Alongside valuable discussions around community impact, you will hear about our performance for 2023/24, what’s on the horizon for SPA and the group and our future direction.
