Throwback to the Lintel Trust Golf Day
Back in May 2024 Lintel Trust held their 26th annual golf tournament at Auchterarder Golf Club, welcoming 21 teams of 4 to battle it out for top spot in the aid of the Lintel Trust.
The teams met in Perthshire and played for the Lintel Cup over the course of the day. Holding a charity raffle as well. In the end Stuart Freeland’s Team won out as they led the leader board at close of play and meaning they would become the holders of the Lintel Cup, until at least next year.
The real winners however was the Lintel Trust itself, who were able to fundraise over £5500 on the day. The funds are vital in allowing the Trust to provide support to voluntary organisations and local communities throughout Scotland to help provide solutions for people in housing need. The money also goes towards the Small Grants Programme.
The Small Grants programme supports a variety of housing projects with funding. Below are some great examples of this:
Elder Voice Strathmore & The Glens
Elder Voice is a local charity connecting people in the community and addressing loneliness, isolation and malnutrition in older people living in and around Perth and Kinross (Strathmore and the Glens).
Buddies of Hunterhill Care Home (Men’s Sheds)
Hunterhill Care Home is a local authority run care home in Paisley. The aim is to support the health & wellbeing of our residents by providing them with ongoing projects to further their interests of woodworking and general DIY.
BHealthy Together
A community-led health project in Southwest Edinburgh. Their aim is to improve health and well-being within the communities by providing a variety of social health activities. In particular, they focus on how health is affected by everyday life.
A big thank you
Lintel Trust want to thank the sponsors of the event. DMI Fire and Security were the main sponsor. Galliford Try, MCN Scotland Ltd, TR Aitchison, Scottish Procurement Alliance, Kingdom Housing Association, LHC Procurement Group and Sidey sponsored elements of the day with DF Painting & Decorating sponsoring the club cleaning, provided by Greig Robertson at Golf Shine.
They would also like to thank the staff at Auchterarder Golf Club for their fantastic hospitality, the attendees for their generous donations as well as the selection of prizes donated to the Raffle.
SPA and Lintel Trust continue to work together to ensure that the community benefit fund continues to provide support to communities and the projects that aim to improve aspects of those communities.
